I am a recently landed immigrant and its been 40 days approximately since i applied for the PR card. I have a very important meeting to attend in Japan and the whole trip would be 5 days. The question is that how will i re-enter Canada?
I went through forums and CIC webpage. It tells that a person will be needing the PRTD document for re-entering and this document could only be applied from outisde of Canada. I will be in Japan for 2 days and it is not possible for me to apply the PRTD document there. I also learnt that PRTD could not be applied from inside the Canada.
Could anyone suggest something that will allow me to enter Canada again. Looking forward.
If your PR card does not arrive in time then apart from the PRTD option the only other option would be to fly to the US assuming you have a US visa and enter via the land border with your COPR.

I have no idea how am i going to address this matter. I hope cic sends my pr card before my deprture. I discused with a person about applyiglng thw US visa and explaining them in my applocation my intension to emter canada via road. But my contact suggested that this would only result in rejection

How soon is your trip? Current PR card processing times are around 65 days and that does not including mailing times. So you're still a number of weeks from receiving the card.
If you don't have the card in time and don't have a US visa to enter the US - then your only option is to extend your stay in Japan so allow you time to apply for a PRTD.

Well, i landed on 25th june and today is 27th july, so technically its about 32-33 days.
My meeting is yet to be sceduled and the tentative timeline they have given me anything between 10th aug and 1st week of septmbr. Im still waiting for the exact date and hopefully, it will be after 25aug. If not, then i think ill have to go bck to my country first, wait for PRTD and then come to Canada.
As far i know, even the PRTD process takes substantial time in processing
