PR Card Renewal - Early Application

Hi,

Our PR Cards are supposed to expire in October 2014. I would like to know if someone has any experience in renewing their PR Cards early. In other words, how early I can apply for the renewal.

Any insight will be highly appreciated.

Six months before is fine. Anything earlier and CIC seems to either hold the application until it's closer to the expiry date or return the application and tell the applicant to apply closer to the expiry date.
