While browsing the internet today looking for information on what documents we need to apply for when my husband arrives to Canada in 2 weeks, I read that we need to apply for his permanent resident card ourselves. I was under the impression that the Officer that processes my husband upon landing sends off the application. Now I am all confused. I want to be prepared, so if we need to send in the application ourselves, I would like to have it ready to send in as soon as my husband enters Canada. Can anybody who has gone through the landing process please tell me, do we send in the application for PR Card, or does Canadian Immigration??

Hey esims2003,
when your husband lands as a PR, the immigration officer will confirm with him his address to know where to send the PR card. So nothing to do from your side (apart from answering the questions from the officer, and make sure that your husband has the address in Canada that he wants the PR sent to, if it's different than the address you had on the application).
GOod luck,
Sweden
You don't have to apply for anything. If he is a new PR, then once he lands, his documents will be sent to CIC for processing his PR card. Make sure you give the officer an address.
cheers
