Hey, does anyone know how long does Canada Post takes to deliver PR Card, as mine when i checked on CIC website it says "PR card Approved and mailed to your mailbox on 23rd Apr, 2019, it will take six week to reach you" i just dont understand why six weeks. Any experienced here?

It would be great if you can tell me when did u land in Canada?
I landed in Canada on 20th April 2019 and at the moment(2nd May 2019) cic website is showing 14 days to process new PR card applications.
So I was wondering if these timings do actually take place or its just to alleviate the pressure?
FYI:- cic previously updated processing times as 21 days on 14th April 2019 and before that something around 30 days.

I landed on 4-Apr-2019 and received PR cards were processed and issued on 23-Apr-2019, but Spouse and kids were sent to my mailing address and mine to my lawyer's mailing address, unfortunately my lawyer's office check mail twice a week, was the panic button pressed, feels relieved now.
CIC always adds one week more to the processing time, just they dont want people to start calling then again and again for the same case, and at landing they within 6 months, because border and CIC doesnt go hand in hand.

So latest update is my PR card application has been Approved on 6th May 2019 which is exactly 16 days from the date of landing and it seems they have stayed true to their words. My application was approved and has been dispatched on the same, now I guess it'll take about 10 days to reach my post box as I live in Fort McMurray. But this is the fastest time I have ever seen to process PR card applications since the time I applied for express entry.
So cheers to CIC for their prompt work and eagerly waiting for my PR card to be delivered now!
