Hello
I applied for PR card renewal and received my letter for PR card pickup.
I had applied for PR card renewal on basis of living outside Canada with my Canadian citizen spouse.
I got my marriage certificate translated by a certified Canadian translator (with affidavit) and mailed the original certified translation along with my application to IRCC.
The letter I received has asked me to bring the marriage certificate with translation to the IRCC office.
Is it permissible to bring the photocopy of the certified translated marriage certificate (since original has already been sent), or, do I need to get it re-translated?
Translation, notarization etc is expensive so I don't want to spend unless I have to
Any feedback is much appreciated
I would bring the photocopy (unless it stated otherwise). If it didn't work, I would set up another appointment, find the nearest translator / notary public in town and bring the new one.

Thanks for your advice. Hopefully the photocopy should work. Not sure if my original application (with the original translation) stays in the in the main Sydney office, or the file is sent to the local office, where I am asked to pick my card from.

Thanks, that is interesting. I am in a similar situation, but have held off due to concerns about correctly answering question 12 ( perm Canadian address). Did you put a family member’s address and note that you were still residing out of the country?

We have a rental apartment here in canada for our university daughter, where we stay when we visit. We wrote that address in no.12 and 13 (current residential address in canada, and mailing address inc Canada ) after taking advice from CIC call centre agent on the phone. Not sure what you should do. Try calling them.
