Did anyone travel to Canada when their PR card is expiring soon ? Like in a week's time ?
Will there be any issues with immigration ? I tried to contact IRCC but its all automated responses at this time.
My wife's PR card is set to expire on Jul 13, and we are travelling back to Canada on Jul 7. Is this going to be okay ?
she will have about 820+ days physical presence in Canada by the time she lands. the residency obligation is 730 days of physical presence, right?
hope that should not be any problem ?

Please correct me if I am wrong, we dont have to satisfy 730 days of minimal stay requirement (out of 5 years) but can still have PR renewed for the subsequent 5 year tenure, if we can apply PRTD even after the PR expiry ?

You must fulfill the 730 days from your landing date unless you can prove that you have H&C reasons for not being able to meet your RO. Something like a widowed parent having cancer and requiring regular treatment for 4 years with no other family around and returning to Canada soon after the parent's death would likely be accepted as long as you have hospital records, proof of no other family, etc. Things like working in the US would not be an H&C reason. After the first 5 years it goes to a rolling 5 year system.
