PR card expires on April 24,2021

I am in Canada and I applied for to renew my PR card on March 9,2021, My current PR card expires on April 24, 2021. I have family emergency so I have to go back home immediately. Can I go back and return with my existing PR card even it is going to expire soon?

1. As long as you return prior to 24/04/21 or you will need a PRTD.

let’s say if I return to Canada on April 20, 2021, am I ok with the existing PR card? Or do I need PRDT. Sorry PMM I wanted to make sure in advance .

1. As long as it is before the expiry date you are fine.
