I am starting this topic to see whats the timeline for PR card arrival. I landed on 22, August 2014 still waiting for PR card


On the website it is stated 42 days, and I am planning to visit USA as my best cousin is getting married in end of oct and i desperately wants to attend her wedding. What i need to do as i am not from USA visa exempt country. Should i apply now without PR card as some people mentions appointment date/interview date comes after a month. Or should i wait for PR card first please suggests something
 
did you call CIC 1-888-242-2100 during business hours on weekdays? If so, what did the agent say?

To return from US, you can come in private car using passport+copr copy. CBSA will let you in.
Or obtain a PRTD from Canadian Visa office nearest you.
 
Having Canadian PR won't help you in entering the U.S. You still need to get a U.S. visit visa. It took us 8 weeks to get one.

Yes, apply now as you schedule your interview with them online, so you have some control over when that will be.
