PR card address issue - pleasr answer

Hello there
I have a permanent address and a mailing address to which i indicated on the PR application form. In case the application gets sent back for incompletion, would it be sent back to my mailing address or residential? would i have to indicate a separate letter to have it sent to my mailing addresss?
