Hi all,

After a long 3 years, we finally got notice that my mom's PR has been approved. Now we're just waiting to get an invitation to the landing portal so she can get her COPR and PR card.

However, the visitor visa she's currently on expires in a few weeks, and it may take a little longer than that for her to receive her COPR. Does this mean we still need to apply for an extension of her visitor visa, even though I have the letter that says her PR is approved? I can't seem to find this information anywhere.

Thanks for any insight.

Yes she still needs to apply for a visitor extension of she would be overstaying her permit and would be in Canada illegally.
