I am a little confused. I am Canadian and my husband is Swiss. I am filing an outland PR application. The high commission in Paris is the one responsible for Switzerland. So do we send our application to Mississauga or Paris or here in Switzerland? Totally confused.
Also, is it better to send the complete application (with medicals and police certificate)? I see some are doing those separately. Which is better?
An outland application goes to Mississauga, Canada first. They will aprove you as a sponsor. Than they will send the file to Paris (since your husband is Swiss)
As the checklist for an outland application asks for a police certificate and proof of medical - we included this in our original application.
Not sure if you can send it to Mississauga without these two documents.
Send the medicals and the police certificates in with the application, unless CIC instructions say not to (they do for some countries).
Some people send them in separately because you do that for other, non-spousal, applications.
