PR application- police certificates

Protected person applying for PR online using a lawyer. Do I need all the police certificates for me and my dependants when I apply for the PR? Or can I wait for later on when requested?

As per as I know, they will request for PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) later, at least after a few months after the submission of the PR application, unless IRCC changed the rules recently !!

Most of the time as protected person applying for PR, you don't need police certificate from home country that you are prosecuted in, unless you lived in a country other than your home country more than 6 month.

they will ask again for sure when they open your dependants file. On ircc it states you have to submit it with application. I did that and they asked again after few months.

i think submit it with application to make sure its complete

As a Protected Person, you dont need a PCC from your home country (country you fled) except you have lived in another country more than 6 months.

Trying to understand, so for those who applied recently. I will need police certificate since I have lived in another country. Also my dependants need police certificate. I have to have all the police certificates for me and my dependants before I can apply for PR?

you don’t need one but your dependants outside Canada do
