PR application is stuck at Security assessment

Hi,

I received my PR ITA on Dec 2023 and submitted my documents on Feb 2024. I received my AOR on the same day. My medical and biometrics are also completed but it's been months and I haven't received the P1 email. I reached out to a local MP to get the status of my application and he shared the below update.
My spouse and child are also in the same application. None of us received COPR yet.

• The Criminality, Medical, and Eligibility assessments have all been successfully passed.
• The Security assessment is still in progress.
• There have been no new updates since our last communication.
• Please note that a processing time is not applicable due to the ongoing Security assessment.

I don't know what "Security assessment " is. Does anyone know what it means and how can I expedite this process by providing additional documents?

Did they ask you for any ADR's ?
I.ve been asked for Schedule A, travel history and Military services information(even though I didn't serve military before)

No, I didn't get any such email. I proactively raised a web form asking about my status and the only default response I got was that my information is received by IRCC. I think it's a waiting time now.

Thanks. I contacted IRCC and the same usual response. I have raised multiple webforms but did not got any response. I reached out to local MP and they said same thing, i.e if it is in security assessment stage, they cannot help further but to wait. I dont have any background, what documents can i provide to support and expedite the process?. My application is stuck for many months now

I am also on the same situation. I don't know what's going on when we know there is nothing on our background that could affect our security check. I actually lodged my application last December 2023. Mine was worst! It's almost a year now. Everything is complete except for Security Check. =( The wait is really frustrating and I can't move on with things.

I have a question, I am very curious, I received a very generous job offer from a different employer, which was different from the employer I declared when I lodged my PR. Can I quit my current job now? I am holding an open work permit. Your answers will be very helpful.

You can change your job, as long as you have a valid work permit, and if your permit is coming to an end soon, apply for bowp

My AOR: Jun 14 2024( pnp express)

As my 5 years closed wp ends on 01st sep so I applied bowp on Aug 04th and bowp also in progress till now.

Eligibility recommended pass on Aug 08th

Till today security not started.

I ordered gcms n verified, no remarks or pending anything with me. I confirmed with ircc help desk as well.

Still I am waiting for my pr approval. It has been more than 6 months now.
