I have applied for PR after I got my AINP nomination, confimation letter have been recevied as well.
I have a tricky situation here, my company would like to promote me to a supervisor position within the same company in the same department, but I have a closed work permit from the nomination which has a specific job and employer stated. My HR department is still confused with my situation, with me starting from working holiday > LMIA > AINP > PR (in prograss). They believed my title or duties cannot be changed under any circumstances since they know LMIA has a very strict policy, even though my LMIA has expired and I am alreay at the PR processing stage.
I tried to contact the AINP office a few times, ended up getting mixed information. One agent told me to apply for another open work permit, while another agent told me that I can get a new offer letter from work with the new position and apply for another closed permit, one actaully said I just needed to inform AINP office but he didn’t see there will be a problem if i didn’t...
My question is, am I allowed to change position within the same department? if so, what process do I have to go throught? if not, am I allowed to perform the supervisor duties without changing the title?
