I initially got a work permit in Canada together with my common-law partner (I was the main applicant), and now I can apply for PR. The issue is:
- She didn't move with me as she received a great promotion in Hong Kong plus a family matter and decided to stay there first.
- We are in a common-law relationship, but we haven't lived together for over a year, though we visit each other frequently.
- I am now applying for PR, but our application is grouped together.
- She will not apply for PR, but I need to include her in my application.
Question 1:Could it be an issue that we haven't lived together for over a year? I would assume it would only be an issue if I were applying for her PR too.
question 2: will the common law partner form be an issue?
