PR app submitted-what to expect next?

hi guys!!!!
so hubby submitted our app last week. I am wondering what we will be expecting next from CIC. Are they going to send us an e-mail that they have received our app or they will e-mail us once they approve my spouse as a sponsor?In what stages do we get notifications from CIC?

I am in the same boat as you. From what I gather reading the experiences of others on here, communication from CIC can best be described as patchy. The overwhelming message is... we wait.

Did you apply inland or outland?

I believe you will receive your AOR(acknowledgment of receipt) next via email or mail depending on where you applied and your VO. Then you will receive AIP(approval in principle) which is the completion of stage 1, and after that I'm not exactly sure what happens. I think they will check the medicals and police reports for the applicant and then you get the COPR.

Someone else might have more info than me, I just submitted mine last week to and am waiting for the AOR.

In our case, the sponsor and applicant both supplied e-mail addresses and live in the UK (so postal comms may still come I suppose). The sponsor received an email and the sponsorship approval e-mail same day. One of the e-mails has UCI code and using the sponsor's details tracking works on Ecas.

check the timeline for Philippines.... first stage is 55days(cic canada) then net is 11months in the Philippines...but it doesnt mean that long.... wait for 6wks for the first stage... if you include your email add in your application..both of you wil receiv a notification...
