We received our passport stamping request and our medical was completed in Sept 2018, so we will have to land in Ottawa before 2019 Sept. Now the predicament is that I recently found that I am pregnant. If I land in Canada and come back to my home country for my delivery, Me and my husband will get an PR but then will be the process for my new born child after that?
The child will have to be sponsored separately. One of you will have to be actually living in Canada in order to sponsor and the process takes up to one year. If the child is a citizen of a visa-waiver country, then he/she can travel with you and live in Canada for 6 months while the sponsorship application is in progress.
You would need to apply for TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) also known as Visitor Visa for your child. AFAIK it's fairly straightforward to apply and get it.
You can try to apply for a TRV but it is no guaranteed. If refused you can try TRP. If that is refused you will have to remain separated for 6-10 months while one parent goes to Canada to sponsor the baby.
