I'm a Full-time student in Canada. I'm in my 3rd semester , And willing to apply for my OCWP at the end of April. As academic standing criteria will be fulfilled with this semester marks. But due to some financial problem i need to take next semester break. Am I still eligible to apply for OCWP because i'm taking the coming semester as break. And please explain me about summer break ?
As this is NOT a scheduled break. I am taking a break. So can i work Full-time with SIN ?

You can't work using the OCWP if you are taking a semester break from school. You must be studying full time to qualify to use the OCWP. If you stop studying full time and use the OCWP to work, you'll be working illegally.

1.I am just taking this semester as break. I will continue my studies from sept, 2013.
I have seen every guy who is working OCWP in break.
But was just confuse with Part-time or Full-time work.

2. Am i eligible to apply for OCWP ?

Yes you can apply for the OCWP if you are qualified, even if you are taking the next semester off.

1. Once you have an OCWP, you must maintain your eligibility by; full time registered status and satisfactory academic standing. DIR of your school send report once a year to the CIC about students who have become academically ineligible for specified reasons. You can work full time only during scheduled break. You can take break (if permitted by school), doesn't mean you can work full time.

Yes, school is allowing me to take a break. So i will be able to work part-time , right ?

1.Yes, you can apply for OCWP.

2.And according to me , you can work part-time in break.
But not so sure, so consult other members too.
