Could please confirm if PPF could be shown as proof of funds (similar to EPF) ?

No . PPF cannot be shown as POF. You will have to withdraw money (whatever is the withdrawable amount) and trnasfer to your bank account

It is accepted as POF. There are many people on the forum who have submitted it as POF. U can get an online statement and get it attested i believe or you can go to your regional PF office and get a statement from them. Pl search the threads there was a detailed procedure posted by one of the members
