Post PPR Visa office change peculiar situation

Hi all, once again sorry for posting this again but I haven't been able to come across any solution or so far.

I got PPR on 6-Nov-2018, at the time of application, I was in UAE but just last week I came back to Pakistan as I had left my job in UAE. Now the PPR letter states I can submit my passport to nearest VAC and it lists addresses of some VAC's in Qatar, UAE, Oman. Since I am not in UAE, it is not possible for me to submit my passport to VAC in UAE. I wrote to Abu Dhabi office (6-Nov), raised a CSE (7-Nov), CPC Ottawa (6-Nov), Islamabad High Commission of Canada (6 and 7 Nov) but so far have only gotten the following response from Ottawa which is confusing:

"Please note that the closest visa office to process your application in Pakistan is located in Abu Dhabi. Please submit your documents to this visa office."

to which I replied that still please allow me to submit passport to VAC in Pakistan and then they can send it to Abu Dhabi visa office (apparently the visa office for Pakistan is Abu Dhabi, UAE).

Haven't gotten a response after that.

Please advise what should be done in this case. I have 27 more days.

I spoke to local VFS, and they might be able to accept the passport. Should I still wait for the response from visa office or should I try to submit to VFS? In this case, both visa offices (ottawa and Abu Dhabi) won't be aware probably that I have submitted passport for stamping in Pakistan - can that be problematic?

@mr.preetsingh can you please share your expert opinion on this? is it normal these these sources take this much time to respond and what is to be expected and done?

Call them up. Don’t risk your PR over this. The email responding to your query clearly states you’re required to submit it in Abu Dhabi.

I did call Abu Dhabi, but of no use. Very hard to reach the calling agent, I'm gonna try calling Ottawa tonight

Ask legal falcon or maybe just courier it to the Abu Dhabi/Ottawa office

Did. And he suggested to send to local VFS. So gonna do that and hopefully will update my positive experience here.

That's the issue. Sending passports in and out through courier Pakistan is illegal as per local law.

You did the right thing. Talk to local VFS and if they accept your passports, you are good to go.

Thank you all and @mr.preetsingh ,today I finally got a new passport request letter in my CIC account and now I can submit my passport in Pakistan itself
