Hi,
I'm in the process of compiling my documents for upload post ITA. Need a help regarding the names on my educational documents
My name on my application, passport and IELTS certificate is <First Name> <Middle Name> <Surname>
On WES report, my name is mentioned as Surname, <First Name> <Middle Name> <Father's Name>
I have ECA for and am uploading the following 3 Degree Certificates:
1. Diploma Certificate, the name is : <First Name> <Middle Name> <Surname>
2. Bachelors Certificate states: <Surname> <First Name> <Middle Name>
3. Masters Certificate states: <Surname> <First Name> <Middle Name> <Father's Name>
Would this be a problem? If yes, what could be a possible way out?
One and the same person affidavit.

Thanks DelPiero!
Would this affidavit go in the education section with the rest of the documents? or would I need to add it along with a LoE?

If you say yes to having a different name it will pop up anyway.

Would I need to select "Yes" to having a different name?
I'm worried this will unnecessarily create complications in my application since I had not selected this option at the time of creating the EE.

You can say yes and upload the letter. You can also say "I'm not sure if the addition of my father's name counts as it is traditional in my country to include it in some documents".

Got it... Thanks a ton kryt0n.
I did not want to make an affidavit for the spelling mistake so I got WES to change the name and it resulted in a 2 month wait over and above the standard processing.

I'm updating my profile currently in the system, and on Selecting "Yes" for the question -
Has this person ever used any other name?, i'm getting the following options in the dropdown saying
"Type of Name": I'm not certain which of these options to select that will truly reflect my situation :
1. Birth
2. Nickname/Alias
3. Name before marriage
4. Former Name
5. Son/Daughter of
6. Other
Options 1, 3 and 4 are definitely out. I'm tilting towards Option 5 or 6.. Any thoughts on how to proceed.

Dear Forum members, can anyone help me with this situation.. I'm the Primary Applicant and need to select "Yes - "Yes - Person has been known by another name "
The reason I'm selecting "Yes" is that my Master's certificate (and correspondingly the WES Certificate) added my father's name so this shows as
Surname FirstName Middle Name Father's Name - All other documents are only
Surname FirstName Middle Name
As per advice from Kryton and Del Piero, I'm going to create a "
One and Same Person Affidavit"..But my query is which option to be selected in the dropdown while filling in the online form Post-ITA
1. Birth
2. Nickname/Alias
3. Name before marriage
4. Former Name
5. Son/Daughter of
6. Other

Its option 6. My wife faced this same issue. She chose option 6 and submitted a
one and the same person affidavit which mentioned all her different names as it appeared in Passport, Educational Documents and WES ECA... This should do the job.. we faced no issues in our application..
Yes I'm going to do the affidavit as well.
