Possible Restoration of Status DENIED

Does anyhone know how long we have to leave Canada if my husband's restoration of Status application is denied? And if I submit sponsoship paperwork before a decision is made on the Restoration application will he be able to stay here while the sponsorship application is in process? I am panicking and very scared. Any insight would be so much appreciated

He can remain but he will be remaining without status. CBSA could try to remove him. Never a great idea to overstay a visa especially if wanting to get visas to travel elsewhere. How long has been in Canada and have you submitted spousal sponsorship? Did you specify when restoring that you had gotten married and were applying for sponsorshoip?
