I have a Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) from India with 9.1/10 CGPA. I have 2 years of work experience in Cybersecurity in an IT firm.

I have always wanted to pursue research in computer science, but my previous masters was purely course-based with no research component. So, I don't want to apply directly for a PhD in Canada , as I didn't have prior research or thesis experience.

My only option now is to pursue research is the Msc-Computer Science (thesis option) offered by many Canadian Universities.Usually, this course acts as a bridge between UG and Phd.

But, I am worried that my study visa would get rejected saying I already have a Master's degree in the same subject. Is there anyone out there who successfully got their visa approved for a second Masters in Canada?

Hello Laxshmi, I am in a similar situation. Could you please tell what was your outcome.
