Possibility of PGWP extension

Hi guys

I am currently residing in Canada on a PGWP. It expires in Nov 2020. I have a job offer (not LMIA exempt) which has been put on hold due to the current COVID-19 situation.
Is there a possibility of getting a PGWP extension due to the current situation? I am losing time on my PGWP, does it provide a valid reasoning for PGWP extension?

IRCC has not announced any exceptions, so you don't qualify for an extension at this point.

PGWP are not being extended due to Covid.

This is bad especially for those who lost their jobs due to covid and lockdowns.

Hey! I didnt apply for an extension as CIC didn't announce anything. I decided to study further so got a study permit.
