Hi guys
Need help
I was out of Canada for 6 yrs..I have been invited to pick up my PR card as I had completed 780 days as a Pr .I was in Canada from 2010-2012
I applied for tourist visa for USA to enter Canada thru border ie rainbow bridge.
Can someone guide me how to go about??
Should I go to New York then take grey hound bus or first to buffalo from Mumbai.
Which port of entry is easy..
Or chicago to Detroit...can I take a bus from New York to Toronto.
Plz help too confusing.
There are no 'easy' entry points unless you are referring to traffic volumes. Without a PR card or PRTD then you cannot take a through bus NY to Toronto so would need to terminate at Buffalo and cross into Canada to continue from there.
As other posters have implied who have not met RO and been invited to collect a PR card ensure you have this documentation handy if asked about RO at the border given they have implied still a chance you could get reported at the border, how factual that is cannot say but be prepared. Regardless as a PR even having not met the RO you are still entitled to enter Canada.
