Now for police verification, do I need to submit Police certificate from Delhi Police also along with Bangalore Police? For how many months do they require the police certificate for?
You will need the Pcc for all states where you have lived for more than 6 months. In your case you will need police clearance certificate for both Delhi and Bangalore

I have a travelling job. I have stayed at multiple location in last 6 years and all of them have been more than 6 months.
The CIC website says every country you stayed for more than 6 months. State wise if I go, I will need at least 5 states and that will be mammoth task for me. I did not even have an address in many places as I stayed in office accommodation at few places

Yogihal, but is there a duration cut off for PCC? I mean the PCC letter in my case would say "staying at XXX place in Bangalore from March 2015 till date and has not criminal proceedings against him", so my clearance letter is for just 6 months at current location
Considering CIC has not mentioned any duration for the police verification, it remains a grey area and I am little confused. Going back to Delhi for getting old PCC will be heavy on pocket and will consume a lot of time

PCC is for the country no matter what it says on the document. And it is valid for 6 months from the date of issue for your current country of residence.

As you have been told many times by the others, you need only one police certificate/clearance for any country you lived for over 6 months. If all the states where you worked are in India (e.g. Bangalore and New Delhi), then you only need 1 police clearance certificate and that certificate must be valid. However, if you traveled to other countries, let's say Bangladesh or U.S.A and stayed there for 6 months or more, then you also need to submit a police clearance for those countries. These are for only countries you visited/stayed for the past 10 years or since your 18th Birthday.
Also remember that police clearance certificates are only valid for 6 months.Good Luck!
