I'm so sad now I just realised I had braught back my husbands police check with me from lebanon when I came back on September first and before that he had them done and ready 1 month ahead so he's had it since August... I sent the application a few weeks ago.. and I just read on this forum that clearances can't be older than 3 months !!! This means the clearances we sent were about 3 1/2 months old Does this mean we will not be approved? im so nervous now I should have thaught about this before !! Will they contact me here in Canada to send my husbands more recent clearance or is there still a chance to have our application processed to Beirut in Lebanon and then they will contact my husband ? I just need a 2nd opinion... im so confused and very new to all of this.
Hi Geminibella,
Try not to worry too much. They definitely won't reject his application just because his police checks were more than 3 months old when submitted. There is a chance that they will still accept the police check since it was close to being 3 months at the time you submitted your application. Otherwise, the visa office will send a request to your husband to send a more recent police check. Either way, they will still process his application, it's just a matter of waiting to see if they will accept the police check that you sent or ask for a new one. Unfortunately, there's nothing that you can do right now other than to wait to see the response from the Beirut office. Good luck.
