I have all the other documents ready for applying under CEC except for the police clearance which (as I was told) could take up to 4 months to get. Should I send my application now and submit the police clearance later on?
I don't know if this is the right way. As you can see that 6-8 weeks is a long time. Can't you attach a cover ltter explaining that it 's going to take this much time and i will provide it as soon as i can and submit rest of teh applciation. I don't think they would return teh application in this case. Since there are cases when people don't submit couple of things and they send a letter for additional information or anything missing. That might be a way to get around it. Because i persoanally think a nice polite and resonable cover letter should do it. It'll save you minimum one and a half month and that would be added to the process of the application.
You might wanna look into it. May be call CIC Vegreville and ask them this question and they might say " as long as you metnion it in the application or include a letter, it should be fine".
