I just got my initial approval today. Now, I have to submit the application along with the supporting documents. I just want to ask u guys about the police clearance certificate. I am a resident of Pakistan. I lived in Sukkur and Hyderabad (cities of Pakistan) after my 18th birthday. Now, I am residing in Karachi. Do I need to give the police clearances for each city I have lived in or, should it be only Karachi.
You need to get one from Sukkur and Hyderabad as as one from Karachi. Contact the Police Station near to your home where you used to live. If you have mentioned all these addresses in your application, then you need to get the PCC as well.

police clearance certificate is for "every country" you have lived in for more than 6 months after your 18th birthday... not for "every city". get one police clearance certificate and that should do it. if they need one more, they can let you know. source??? personal experience... because i have lived in karachi, lahore, islamabad, abbotabad and a few more cities... but i always give police clearance from only islamabad whenever asked (islamabad being the hometown) and never have been asked for the other cities.
imagine if someone like me have to submit police clearance certificates from every city, then i will be submitting 6 police clearance certificates for pakistan and three police clearances for south africa. does this make sense? get one certificate, relax, and chill.
PMM is right, you only need tp produce one PCC. And since the Pakistani cities you've lived in are in the same provinces, I dont see one PCC causing you any problems. PCC is not something that is required from each Police Stn area you've lived in yoru life, its something that covers you for a bigger jurisdiction. For example, in Britain, theres only one kind of PCC which applicants submit to CIC and it doesnt even mention the cities/regions the applicant has lived in.
As per as India is concerned, We need to take police clearance from the Police Supritendent of the Distt in which your permanent residence falls in. If you have committed any crime at any place throughout the country, its record is sent to your local Police station. So distt. SP will get the report from your police station and mark the PCC.
As India and Pak are based on same admin setup your case may be similar..
