Police Clearance - Query

Hello,
The following is my case: - I have lived only in India for the last 10 years. However I have lived in multiple locations for instance, I lived in Patiala for 4 years of my college, then in Delhi for another year, Gurgaon for the next 2 years, and finally in Bangalore.
I am currently in Bangalore.
1) Do I need to show a PCC from my residing state?
2) Can this PCC be initiated from a state other than my residing state?
3) I have been reading PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) PCC. What is this?
4) Is there a one-stop solution for getting PCC in India
How much time does PCC take?

Hello

PCC is not state or city specific, It is country specific. You will be issued a PCC on the behalf of Government of India and not Patiala, Delhi or Gurgaon.

You can apply for a Police Clearance Certificate at

• at your local district police station
• Passport office
• Indian embassy or consulate
• BLS International Centre

If you apply for PCC from Indian Embassy in Canada, it takes about 6-8 weeks.
