I am here in Toronto since Jan 2010 on a work permit which is valid till May 2011, now i am willing to apply for the PR of Canada. In this process i will need a police clearance certificate for my stay in India.
Please let me know if the Consulate General of India in Toronto will provide me the police clearance certificate based on my work permit document.
In USA it is easy to get; I applied to Indian Consulate; by submitting my passport, application form along with fees.
Pls. check out with Indian Consulate in Canada.
If you have any relatives living in India you can authorize them to apply for your police clearance ...You need to provide your ID cards...residency proof...and authorization letters
You can also get the same from the Indian Embassy .you need to fill PCC application and they may also ask you to show Canada work permit for residency verification...
I am also applied under the same category..Do you have any idea reagarding the visa office you can opt for?
So are you 100% sure that i can get get the PCC for India here in Toronto with reference to my work permit, with some research and interaction with lawyers i understand that if you have authorized to stay in a country for 1 year meaning if your WP is valid till 1 yr, you can apply in Buffalo Visa office.
Yes I am sure.. I already applied..http://www.cgitoronto.ca/Forms/PCC%20Application%20Form.pdf
