Hello! I recently received an ITA and find myself needing to produce police clearance certificates. I read that I need a police certificate for countries I've stayed at for at least 6 months. I studied in China around 2010 and stayed for a duration of 180 days (upon checking my entry and exit stamps on my passport). Since China is hundreds and hundreds of miles away, I was wondering if there's the option of not providing a certificate for my stay there or will this be a demerit to my application?

Thanks.

If you're required to provide such PCC and you fail to do so then your application will be cancelled for incompleteness.

Apply for PCC at nearest Chinese Embassy or consulate. Whats the problem in that?

That's all there is to it? Didn't know I could do that directly through overseas missions. If yes, that would be a HUGE lifesaver!

You can check this link if you are based in India
Else Check if you can find something similar in the country where you are based
