Hello everyone, I would really appreciate if someone can help me with Police clearance question.

I am eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship now and I believe I need police clearance letter in Canada because I have been living here more than 6 months. Where can I get that letter?

I remember I went to the authorized agency to get my fingerprint done and submit that clearance letter (RCMP) when I applied for PR. Do I need to do the same? or

I can go to local police station and get the criminal record check letter and they don't ask for fingerprint and i can get that letter same day.

Please advice me which is the correct document.

Thank you,

You don't need police clearance certificate from Canada. It is a requirement if you have lived for more than 6 months in any country other than Canada during your 5 year eligibility period.
