Police Clearance Certificate

Hi Guys,

I am currently Living in Canada and i wanted to get my Police Clearance Certificate. Can i get my PCC from India Instead of applying it from Indian Consulate as i do not want to give away my passport for a month or more as i have to travel.

If i live in canada and get PCC from india will it be accepted in my PR.

indian pcc will take longer time , would not suggest doing it there. indian consulate pcc takes 15 days only even though it says one month pricessing time

yes that pcc will be considered valid if it is done through passport office

That PCC will not be valid as you are resident in Canada as of now. CIC is has rejected some cases in the past. legally you can only avail your PCC from the Indian consulate of the country of your residence.
