Police Clearance Certificate Validity

Hi all,

Can someone let me know how long is the Police Clearance Certificate from India valid. I am still waiting in the pool but thinking of getting this done if it is valid for a longer period.

The PCC itself states it's only valid for 6 months. But vice requirement is that the pccs date should be after the last time you left the country.

Zero fees if taken from police station, and INR 500/- if taken from PSK.

Hey any idea how long the process might take and for how long is the PCC valid when done from within India
