Hi,

I submitted my PR application through spousal sponsorship in Canada in July, 2016. At that time I included an original copy of PCC issued from my home country (Bangladesh) in my application package. The PCC was issued in June 2016 and I have last visited Bangladesh in January, 2014.

Recently, I received an email from CIC stating the following:

"
If you have not yet submitted the following documents, you must submit them to this office:

Police Certificate(s)

The principal applicant (and all family members 18 years or older) is required to submit a police certificate(s) from the:
• The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18;

If you have already submitted police certificates as noted above please disregard. If you are unable to comply please forward a written explanation.
"

I am not sure what should be my response here. Any expert opinions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

I was asked the same thing and my lawyer is fighting to not submit this paperwork as I have not visited my home country since before I applied. It is time consuming and unnecessary.

I would write a letter explaining that you've already submitted this paperwork and that you have not been to Bangladesh since January 2014.

Good luck!

Maybe I'm not understanding but is it a 2nd request or just a generic letter that you can disregard?

I sent application with pcc on dec 7th
And they asked for it on dec 23
I contacted cic and they said to disregard it, in my case it was a generic letter
Pcc is good for a year as long as it was sent within 3 months from getting it

It's not really a second request. I used "PCC requested again" because I already sent them once with my application package. Thanks

Thank you very much mates. I have decided to ignore the letter as my PCC should still be valid.
