Police clearance certificate from India for PR application

How do we get Police clearance certificate from India for the PR application? I see mixed response in this forum. Some says PCC from PSK is fine and some says we should apply directly to the police and get it.

Hi follow the below link, I recently got my PCC from India for my PR application and got it using BLS international .. takes around 6-8 weeks time for whole process

I believe this is for non resident Indians staying abroad. Im from India and staying in India. Can i apply for this?

ohh.. ok.. sorry I thought u were in Canada.... then u have to apply thru PSK or passport office
