Is it more important to get the Inland Application sent in before the Police Clearance reaches it's 3 month expiry date (when my husband can not leave the country otherwise he can't re-enter, therefore the Certificate status clearly can't change), or to have it 1-2 days past the 3 month expiry and be able to add extras like Table of Contents, and re-check the whole thing a few times.
We are rushing it right now because 1 of the 3 checks expires on Tuesday (the 13th), and if that check expires, another one will also expire before we get the OTHER new one.
But I want to re-verify everything and make the application all pretty and organized perfectly.
We have attached all expired Police Certificates along with an explanation of how difficult it was to get all Police Certificates at the same time due to processing times and the 3 month expiry, which has actually directly contributed to a delay in sending in our PR Application numerous times.

They will ask you for a new police certificate if it is past three months when you apply. If you want to avoid that problem, then you need to get your application in before it expires.
You're allowed to send in missing police certificates after you apply. Just include a note about it. It delays the application a little, but less than waiting for the police certificate if it takes many weeks. So if you think you're going to miss the deadline, send in the application anyway and then apply for a new certificate.
Be careful, because it's the date they say they received the application that counts, not when you send it. So if you courier your application to them, make sure you use their courier address and not their PO Box.
