Police certificates

Hello,
We are landing in Canada (Toronto) 1 week from now and i wanted to ask you guys if anybody got asked to show original police certificates during landing interview by CBSA agents ? Or will photocopies/scanned copies will suffice? I am out of my country and currently do not have original police certificate ( from Pakistan) with me.
Any help will be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure police certificates are only required for outland applications. For work permits anyway.
