Hello everyone, I got my nomination certificate under the masters graduate stream and am applying on the permanent residence portal. On the document checklist, police certificate is required. However, I checked on IRCC website that if I did not stay in another country other than Canada for more than 6 months after the age of 18, police certificate is not required. Also, police certificate is not required for residency in Canada. When I try to submit my application, if there is no police certificate uploaded, the application is marked as incomplete, so that I could not submit it.
Have you faced similar situation when you are applying? and if there is a way to upload a letter of explanation to waive this requirement?
