Hi guys, I am in the process of gathering my documents for my common law sponsorship, just got a little confusion regarding the police certificate and need some help from you!
I came to Canada as a student when I was 19 years old and went back to China every summer holiday (about 3 months) each year during the university. I am 24 years old now and currently live in Canada and hold a PGWP. So basically I only stayed in China for about 1 year since the age of 18.
In the checklist it says submit police certificate from " the country you current live, if you have lived for six months or more" (which is Canada based on my understanding) and "the country where you have spent most of your life since the age of 18" (which is also Canada based on my understanding).
My question is do I need to submit a police certificate from China?
Police certificates
The principal applicant and each family member 18 or older (who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents), must submit police certificates from the following country or countries with the application:
Current country of residence if you (or they) have lived there for six months or more.
and
The country where you (or they) resided for most of your (or their) life since the age of 18.
you lived in China for 1 year after turning 18 years before coming to Canada.....you need PCC from Canada and not sure about PCC from China, but if you can get China PCC
