Dear all,

I want to inquire about the police certificates.

I know that you need a police certificate for a country where you have lived for more than 6 months. I have lived in Malaysia for almost 2 years therefore i have obtained a police certificate from there. Also I went to Dubai last year for 6 months visit under training. I precisely stayed there for 6 months. I want to know whether I will be needing a police certificate from UAE or not.

Thanks & regards,

Syed Ali AHmad

There are 3 options:

1) Either wait and see if CIC requests for PCC later on in the application process
2) Get the PCC from UAE before submitting the application, just to avoid un-necessary delay
3) Send your application without the UAE PCC, apply for PCC while application is being processed, send it once received

Which one do you this is the best option. As I have only stayed there for 6 months i think they may not request for PC.

I personally, would suggest option 3. Even if CIC requests you for a UAE PCC, you would've already initiated the process of getting one.

It's better to be prepared than to apply when CIC requests for a doc, as it could cause unnecessary delays to your application.

Hello Brother,

I inquired about the procedure of obtaining a police certificate from UAE. It is really difficult to get one. The procedure is very time consuming and costly. First I will need to go to local police and get fingerprints done. Than I need to get this paper notarized and then send this to Ministry of foreign affairs in pakistan for attestation. Later I will need this to get attested from UAE embassy in pakistan. After that I will need send all the application forms and documents to UAE police. After processing the documents they will send me the certificate. This whole procedure can take up to 3 months and is very troublesome.
