police certificate with two passports

Dear friends
I have one question and I need your help about it.

I have lived before in Oman for one year and now I am living in Dubai,
I have now two passports, old one (expired) and new one, I have the Omani residence visa on the old passport which it's expiered too,
after that I got the new passport when I was working in Dubai, and my name is different between these two passports,

I sent my FSW application to Canada with detailes from my new passport ,
now I need to make the police certificate from Oman, and the Omani police asked me to send them the old passport which it contains the Omani Residence visa.

My question is, if they make the Oman’s police certificate with the information from the old passport, is it accepted by the immigration officials in Canada? or they will ask my to provide a new Oman’s police certificate depending on the new passport details?

I don't think they would ask you to provide details based on your new passport, unless they find something they don't like. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Does your new passport have your old passport number on it (mine does), if that is the case, send a photocopy of that with your documents.
If there is no old passport info on your new passport, then photocopy the biopage of the old passport and send that in your with your documents.

Always explain why you sent in copies of two passports (if you do that).

That is what I would do.
