I have a question about police certificates.
If the applicant studied in a different country for more than 6 months 9 years ago do they need to get a police certificate from that country? It is probably very unlikely that they will issue it since it was so long ago and applicant didn’t have a permanent address, just studied in that country for a short period of time.

If you listed it in your schedule A. (Which you should have) then they will request it.

Crazy! We don’t have time to submit it now so we’ll just submit the ones we have.
FYI- email states to obtain police certificate from 1) the country where you currently live if you have lived there 6 months or more
And
2) the country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18
They may request the certificate from country of study later on if necessary but for now it’s not required.

so it clearly states since age of 18. My parenst lived 25 years ago in Italy and I am arrangin certificate for them. I have been trying to research and even sent email to CIC. I am yet to hear anywhere it says for the past 10 years. Please do arrange the certificate. Dont rely on people answers from the past. Request is clearly for since age of 18.
FYI: this is with respect to parents who are like 60 plus so fail to understand why they wont require for someone younger
