Hi there

I am a Mexican citizen who applies for permanent residence and a police certificate was requested, so I sent my fingerprints, copy of my passport, photos, letter that I got from my email and with the info about my file.

I sent the documentation thought fedex, according to the tracking info they got it on 23/12/2024 and i got a information letter on 31/12/2024 in my IRCC account.
Where it says that i have to request the police certificate to the FGR, but it suppose if i do that is not gonna be accepted, so i dont know what i have to doI am a Mexican citizen who applies for permanent residence and a police certificate was requested, so I sent my fingerprints, copy of my passport, photos, letter that I got from my email and with the info about my file.

Hi ernesto64 I'm in the same situation, I sent my documents around the same date and I've the information letter on my account, do you have any update or idea about what to do with it?

For what I checked, we have to wait until we get news from IRCC

Where did you sent your documents?
I recently went through the same process and following the guideliens online, is pretty straightforward, unless they have changed.
So basically if you are inside Canada, you have to send your your documentation (fingerprints, photos and passport copy) to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City. Once recieved, they will handle everything for you. They will make the request to the PGR and once done, they will upload it directly into their system for the IRCC agent to see it. You won't see it ever.

You are correct but it is taking much time, there is no fixed timeline for this process after we sent documents.
