Dear all,
I have a question related to Express Entry step 2, when they will ask me to upload my documents. Actually, I am surprised to see their requirement of Police clearance certificate to be issued by any foreign country where I have lived for more than 6 months. Please pay attention to my situation. I am a Pakistani citizen, I studied Bachelors from Pakistan. Then,
1) I went to Germany in 2009 for Masters. I lived there for 2 years.
2) Then, I went to Spain for PhD in 2011. I lived there for 4 years.
3) Now I am working in Russia at a University. I am living here for 2 years.
So my question, Do I need to take PCC from all 4 countries: Pakistan, Germany, Spain and Russia?
Kindly give me some hope with a sensible answer.
Regards
Dr. Ali
Yes, you need PCCs from all four countries.
Why are you surprised by this? The rules are quite clear, you have to get a PCC from any country where you have spent more than 6 months (cumulatively, it doesn't need to be consecutive six months).

Thanks for the reply. Do you think, I can apply PCC online from Germany and Spain?

I have no idea. Try Googling it, or perhaps someone else who got that PCC can help.

Ok thanks. And do you know, how much is the visa fee for express entry?
The "sensible answer", which I'm afraid won't give you "some hope", is that all of us here are following the rules laid down by Canadian immigration
If you've lived in any country for 6 months or more, you will need to get a police clearance certificate from there.
I'd suggest you start applying to Pakistan, Germany, Spain and Russia as soon as possible for your police certificates.
Good luck.

Yup I feel your pain. I'm in the process of rounding up 7 PCC's for the wife and I
I've seen an online portal for Spain and surely Germany would have one as well. Russia will be easy but Pakistan may include a flight
