police certificate expire ??? help please

I live in dubai . and i am spinsoring my husband. My husbands police certificate is going to expire on september 13 and i am waiting for my option C to come in mail ......my question is if i send my appilation on august 29 and they get my mail by 4 working days (express mail ) around first week of sepember ..........would they accept it ?

From what I know, you're husbands documents will only be processed after you get Sponsorship Approval, which takes about 30 days after they get your file. So the police certificate will most definitely expire before the VO will lay an eye on it.

I would advise you to get another police certificate and mail it, after you get SA, to the embassy that will process the application in the second stage. By then you will know the file number (it's in the mail you get when they announce your SA) - just write that file number on the envelope and include in it a page with the explanation why you are sending a new police certificate.

Only 3 months? Wow! If that's the case, yes, wait for them to ask for a new one.

In Romania the validity is 6 months. At least there's a chance that someone will look at the application in that time. 3 months is just too short, I would say

Yes I agree you should submit Passport 2nd time only if requested by visa office.

When i called the CIC hotline about our police certificates they said the expiry doesn't matter as long as when they receive the app the police clearance is still valid. They will request another if needed,

According to CIC website, under Police certificates:

(Can't post links but it's Guide 3999)

The certificate must have been issued no more than three (3) months prior to submitting your application.

So I think you should mail it in ASAP and get a new one if they request it.
