HI all,

1) Language (IELTS)
L= 7, R=8.5 ,W=6, S=7.5
2) Education
WES results
1) ACCA = 3 years Canadian Bachelor's Degree Equivalent
2) Oxford Brookes University 4 years Canadian Bachelor's Degree Equivalent
3) Age
As at 1st Jan 2015 I will be 36 years and 2 months (Born in Nov 1978)- 10 or 11 points?
4)Experience (Last 10 years)- my work experience are part of NOC
Company 1 (9 months) from 1st Jan 2005
Company 2 (1 year)
Company 3 (1 year 11 months)
Company 4 (2 years 11 months)
Company 5 (2 years 4 months)
Company 6(Current) 6 months
5) I am not claiming any other points (adaptability for my spouse whose native language is English) She need to sit IELTS to prove this and I don't want to wait further to submit my application.
Please let me know if I can get 67 points based on the above 4 criteria please.
Thanks

Hi,
In my view, you can claim 68 points as per the following:
1. Language - 21 pts
Listening 7.0 --- 5 pts (requires 7.5 in IELTS to get a 5, so technically it should be 4 pts, but 7 is close to 7.5 therefore I would claim 5pts)
Reading 8.5 --- 6 pts
Writing 6.0 --- 4 pts
Speaking 7.5 --- 6 pts
2. Education - 21 pts
3. Age - 11 pts
4. Experience - 15 pts
If I were you, I'll try to stack up the points by adding spouse's adaptability.

Hello frnds,
I'm applying for fswp 2014 and already secured 66 points and the same month I'm getting married.
So my question is :
1) Can I ask my wife to take ielts so I can gain 5 points and apply for it. being newly married won't be any problem ?
2) Do I need to apply for my wife's visa also if I'm taking 5 points for adaptability or I can apply for her visa later on once i receive mine ?
Please advise me experts.... really so confused......
Thanks

raj1681. If you have a copy of your marriage certificate from the registry available. You can claim 5 points for your wife's ielts. she does not need to score as high as you but like 5 points each in the 4 skills. If you have not applied you can include your wife's details in your forms. and her passport details will be needed on the forms since she is dependant. Then be sure you'll submit a Proof of Fund Balance of 14800 dollars or more because you are now 2. You both will be issued the visa at the same time except if it is stated in your application that she will not be travelling with you in the first instance. But she must be on your dependants list for you to file a visa for after landing Canada as a permanent resident. otherwise you may not be able to invite her as a permanent resident in future.
Bob,
I also think that yoir education will bring you 22 ponits.
Plus - arrange for your app to be sent before your Bday. You'll score 12 points then.
Good luck!
8.5 score in Reading is really impressive, can you tell me how did you prepare for exam. I just got 6 in last exam and trying to improve and writing in next month. If any specific material or helpful urls, please let me know.

Listening 7 bands gets you 4 points , you cannot claim 5 .

Avani,
I have registered through British Council Website and i have received free tutorial for all 4 of them. This really helped me even though I am not really happy with my listening scores since i panicked during the exam session and forgot how to spell Piano (i might have lost 1 point there 7.5 to 7).
I also normally read online newspaper daily
Thanks
