Good evening:)

I'm currently completing my documents for my immigrant application and I have a lot of doubts in mind if my application would be considered.

PLEASE HELP ME :(

I'm 25/RN/with 3 years full-time experience as a nurse and a masters degree holder.

I'm wondering if Id be given 22 or 25 points for my education since the CIC says you will be given 25 points if you have a master’s degree or PhD and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study and 22 points if you have two or more university degrees at the bachelor’s level and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.

In my case, I've spent 151/2 yrs in school: 6 yrs elementary,4 yrs in High School, and 11/2 yrs in Grad School (supposed to be completed in 2 yrs but I took some subjects in advance)

Guys do you have an idea on how many points I can get?

Thank you very much for your help.

May God bless us all:)

Just wanted to check if the total number of years of your schooling is really 10 and not 12-13 years? What is the length of your primary degree?

Mwansaa

Hello mwaansa:) Thanks a lot:)

I completed 6 years-Primary Education; 4 years in High School; 4 years in College ( Bachelor of Science in Nursing); 1 1/2 Academic years in Grad School (Master in Nursing)=Total of 15 1/2 Academic Years..

My masters degree is supposed to be completed in 2 academic years. However, I took some subjects in advance so I was able to complete my masters degree in within 1 1/2 year.

Right now I'm concerned if my education will be given 22 or 25 points:(

Thanks mwaansa for your concern:)

The length of your primary and secondary degrees is fine. It's the length of your schooling (10 years) that seems to reduce the length of your full-time education. I imagine that canadian authorities are going by 12 years of schooling which is the avg. around the world if I'm not mistaken which is why I am curious about your length of schooling. Where did u do your schooling if u don't mind me asking? If you are on 12 years schooling you would be in the 17.5 year mark for total no. of years of full time education with your master's degree you would be entitled to 25 points.
