Please has anyone got a sample or muck up of what a POF letter should look like my bank don't have a clue. I also have a question about police certificate, do I only need police certificate for countries I lived in for the past 10 years or since I turned 18.
Thanks in advance.
Below information is required by CIC for Proof of Funds:
Purpose:
To confirm whether the applicant meets the low income cutoff (LICO), as assessed by the amount of money they hold compared to the number of people in their family
Document requirements:
The applicant should provide official letter(s) from financial institution(s) that list all current bank and investment accounts as well as outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loans.
The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance in the past six months.
Other documents may also be requested, as necessary.
Individuals who must submit this documentation

You need to obtain Police clearance certificates for every country you have stayed in for minimum 6 months or more ever since age 18.
I know this is a semi old thread, but I searched and searched on the forum and couldnt find an answer for this, as I figured this must have been asked before. But all POF questions I found were around special situations.
I needed information on the basic requirements for what needs to be on the POF from the bank. Your answer explained it perfectly. And the link you gave was great too.
The only link I could find on the CIC site was: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp and this gave the amount I needed to have and prove but not what was needed on the POF letter. Your link (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp) gave much more detail on this. I presume the link is the correct one for EE FSW or any EE right? I only question as I could not find that page myself through their site navigation, only by your direct link. My fault probably on navigating their site.
I noticed the OP never replied or thanked you, so heres my THANK YOU (and +1 rep), your reply was much appreciated. Hope this helps others too.
The same standard is needed for CIC irrespective of the stream.
After you have completed all forms post ITA, you get a checklist and the format for the required letter is written there.
If you have included 0 as available funds, I don't think you will get POF on your checklist ( I can't confirm that tho)
please i need help concerning my proof of fund, i need a template of how the gift deed should look or what it should contain
also i sold my land, what do i need to submit to explain this,
thank you
